Gorse

Ulex europaeus - This is a bad weed. You don't have much choice about these. Many are growing wild just outside our property line. These plants are heavy with oil. Because of this they constitute a bad fire danger. They are also very thorny. We try to eradicate them on our property. Have beautiful yellow flowers from March-May. These have been removed. I mowed them down and then sprayed. Recently the Department of the Interior called and asked if we would allow them to spray and kill these infestations. They did and most all are dead now.
