Lungwort Lichen

Lobaria pulmonaria - A large, loosely attached leaf lichen; lobes broad, 20-30 mm wide; upper surface pale or dark bluish-green (bright green when moist), strongly ridged, deeply indented between ridges, bearing tiny powdery balls or tiny, wart-like outgrowths along the ridges and lobe margins; lower surface brownish and finely hairy, with scattered whitish, naked patches. Found on trees in humid forests, both coniferous and deciduous, at lower elevations; common.
