Northern Microseris (Apargidium)

Microseris borealis - Microseris Borealis, or more commonly known as Northern Microseris, is a forb/herb (a forb/herb is a plant that is neither woody nor a grass) of the genus Microseris. Its duration is annual which means it grows for one season only. Microseris Borealis or Northern Microseris's floral region is North America US Lower 48 and Alaska, specifically in the states of Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington. Leaves all basal, narrowly lance-shaped to lance-oblong, entire to remotely toothed, or lobed, long (5-25 cm), hairless, gradually tapering to pointed tip. Flowers: Heads yellow, solitary, consisting of ray flowers only.
