Wildflowers Found in Oregon White Morel Morchella deliciosa Cap 1 5/8 - 2 in. wide, 2 3/4-3 1/2 high, oval to elongate; with longitudinal, irregular, whitish ribs and grayish pits, especially when immature. Stalk 1-2 in thick, sometimes enlarged at base; whitish, with glandular ribs; hollow. Season April-early June; into August at high elevations; March-May on West Coast. Found throughout North America on the ground in old apple orchards and burnt areas; associated with dead elms; also with tuliptrees, and ash, oak and beech-maple woods.
