Wildflowers Found in Oregon Mountain Navarretia Navarretia divaricata - Common, early summer, annual, 1-4 in. Small mat. Stems brown or purple, spreading and branched in pairs or whorled. Basal leaves narrow, not lobed,; stem leaves lobed to sharply pointed thread-like in center, bracts and calyces with sharp tips. Flower white, small, with 4-5 lobes, stamen and style usually not extended much beyond tube. Grows in gravelly, often volcanic soils at low to high elevations.
