Wildflowers Found in Oregon California Poppy Eschscholzia californica - Common, all spring and summer, annual or perennial, 6-16 in. Tuft upright from single root. Plant hairless. Leaves mostly basal with petioles, much divided, segments linear, shiny green to bluish. Flowers usually solitary, atop long stalks; buds erect fro, base with wide round rim, pointed at tip; 4 petals, in shades of orange to yellow, 1-2 in. wide, many stamens.
