Wildflowers Found in Oregon Heart Leaved Twayblade Listera cordata - Uncommon, late spring-early summer, perennial, 3-8 in high. Stem erect, with 3 leaves at midstem. Leaves to 1 1/2 in. long, heart-shaped. Flowers 5-15 in short spike at stem top. Flower yellow-green to brownish, with 2 petals and 3 sepals at top all the same, egg-shaped, lower petal much longer, deeply forked, with lance-shaped pointed lobes. Grows in shady damp conifer forests, along streams, in bogs, at low to mid elevations. Native.
