Wildflowers Found in Oregon Cascade Wallflower (Perennial Sand Dwelling Wallflower) Erysimum arenicola - Locally common, midsummer, perennial, 12-15 in. Erect stem, rosette of leaves. Leaves bright green, 1-3 in. long, oblong to spoon-shaped, coarsely toothed; stem leaves smaller. Large head of bright yellow flowers atop stem arising from center of rosette. Flower petals 2/3 - 3/4 in. long, opening widely. Seedpods 2-3 in. long, about same width on all 4 sides, becoming twisted. Grows in rocky areas, sandy places, at 5000 to 7500 ft. Native.
