Then there on the floor is the elaborate forte piano, crafted by their son Chet, an obviously accomplished craftsman. Outside the window are some of the birdhouses Paul and Bernice crafted for the many winged visitors to their rural home. On the walls of the home are many small pieces of art Paul created, and throughout the house are the many pieces of furniture he crafted in the fully equipped workshop, in a building that sits down the hill from the main house. One feature of the shop: all the many saws, planes, etc., are hooked up to a central vacuum system that collects the sawdust and vents it outside, leaving the inside air fresh and clean. |
