Paul and Bernice Noll's Woodworking

Sharing Experiences By David R. Newman - Page 5

If there is a thread behind the Noll's eclectic interests, it is perhaps summed in several ways. "If it is made of wood, metal or cloth, I can make it, " Paul says standing in his sewing room, and adding, "I am just so dumb I think I can do anything." Well, almost anything; "I have been asked by the choir director not to sing: I know my limits."

But there is also the attitude of thinking a problem through to find the most appropriate solution. And that accounts for the airline pilot's uniforms the Nolls had made for them before they went flying around the world. The reasoning? since Paul is the "Chief Pilot" of his own one-plane international airline, having a pilot's uniform opened the door in a number of countries to a variety of perks that, it seems, pilots for major airlines receive on a regular basis.

But at the heart of what the Nolls do are the souls of two teachers who travel the world and our local community, helping raise a notch or two the possibilities of what is possible to achieve. "We enjoy sharing experiences," they say, quite simply.
