The Gate of Heavenly Purity

Chien Ching Men (The Gate of Heavenly Purity) was built in the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in 1655 (12th year of Ching Emperor Shun Chih's reign). Emperors of the Ching Dynasty sometimes held court here. On those occasions, a throne was placed in the gate, and ministers took turns to report to the Emperor.
