Public Security Checkpoint

A reminder that China has a vast Public Security Bureau. Known as the PSB, it is everywhere. Checkpoints are on highways, airports, bus stations, and train stations. As a foreigner, you will be required to show proper identification when ever you stay at a hotel or travel on public transportation. Local train and bus line are not included. You must show ID when buying airline tickets and when boarding. This is an entrance to a National Park. Whenever you stay in someone's home they are required to notify the PSB of your presence. In the city they must notify the PSB within 24 hours. In the countryside they have three days. Hotels must notify in 24 hours.
