Documents Needed in China 2. Chinese Visa To work in China you must have a Z visa. This visa is good for only one entry. A multiple entry visa was much more expensive and difficult to get. The rules have now changed. It is the same price for a single entry and a multiple entry visa. So always ask for a multiple entry visa. There is a date "valid until" date. You must enter before that date or get another visa. To get a Z visa you must have a document inviting you to work for a work unit. A visa cost you $30 US if you are willing to wait a week or $60 if you need it in a day. You need a form filled out and two passport photos to get one. Expect long lines at the Chinese consulate or embassy. There is a consulate in San Francisco and the Embassy is in New York. The visa consists of an entry in your USA passport. The current visas are a computerized stick-on paper. You must have a blank page on your passport for that stick-on paper. ⇦ Back to Passport 1 Return to Chinese Documents Page 1 On to Shot Record 3 ⇨ |
