4. Mount Emei Clouds

It was raining that night but in the morning it began to clear. The clouds were beautiful. We had some rice at the only restaurant along with a can of pineapple we had brought. We got up early to see the sunrise on the mountain and also because it was so cold. While we had to walk the entire way to the top, about 12 miles, there is now a tramway to take tourist to the top. Also they have built a modern hotel at the top. They were building the hotel when we were there. Coolies with hundred pound backs of sand and cement would pass us on the way to the top.
