20. Ticket to Ride on the Cable Car

Here you can see the ticket to the cable car ride to the top of Lotus Flower Peak. I show the front and the back of the ticket. The cable ride extends for 2808 meters (9213 feet). The longest span extends for 966 meters (3169 feet). The towers rise above the ground at 22m, 48m, 23m, and 36m, (72ft, 157ft, 75ft and 118 feet). The cable car starts at an elevation of 894 meters (2933 feet) and carries you up some 1,667 meters (5449 feet). The ride cost us 66 yuan each for each way or a total of 264 yuan ($32 US). Poor Sam decided to save money and walk down. When we met him at the bottom hours later his legs were so sore he could hardly walk. You can ride up and walk down.
