15. A View of the Chinese Academy of Oceanology

This is a picture from the hotel we stayed at in Qingdao. It is opposite of Number One Beach. To the left is the Chinese Nation Academy of Sciences Institute of Oceanology and Limnology. We are their guests. They have been most gracious to us and helpful. One of our students at the Language Center in Chengdu has invited us to visit here. The institute has a research ship of some 300 foot at the dock in Qingdao. The glass-enclosed room on the top of Institute can be seen on the left.
