1. Breakfast at the Zhengzhou Train Station

The Foreign Affairs Office at SIAS University asked for English teachers to volunteer to go to a High School at Xinyang in Henan Province. Paul volunteered to go on a Saturday morning. Xinyang, a city some 300 Km south of Xinzheng, wanted to establish a relationship with SIAS University to be able to send their High School graduates to the university. Another foreign teacher Lauren and I left SIAS at an early hour. We took a SIAS bus to the Zhengzhou train station. There we ate some breakfast at a food booth. We had xifan (rice gruel) boiled eggs and steamed bread.
