4. Nanhu Hotel Room in Xinyang

Here you see my hotel room. Very typical of Chinese hotels, it has twin beds. The beds have a bottom sheet with a top quilt that has a cover. Additionally it has a wool blanket even though the temperature hovers around 100 F. Equipped with a good air conditioning unit, the room quickly cooled to be comfortable. A fan and a TV set also complemented the room. They gave us about two hours to rest before we had lunch downstairs. The bathroom had a sit-down toilet, always a welcome thing, and a bathtub with a shower facility. Rooms came equipped with soaps, toilet paper, shampoos, towels and wash clothes. The room had a view of the river outside from South Lake. The TV had only Chinese shows on the channels.
