4. Our Friend and Student George

In China one thing you can use is "Guanxi" (connections). George has been my student in an English class. When he first came to the class he was almost afraid to speak. By the time we left he could speak quite well and had gained much confidence in his oral English. On his right is one of the SIAS City College staff, Mr. Allen Xie. George met us at the airport and helped us greatly in getting on the plane. George works as a security guard at the Zhengzhou airport.
