Visit to the Huoshan Dam near Huoshan, Anhui, China

4. Huoshan Dam Face

This picture shows the face of the Huoshan dam. We walked across the top of the dam. To do so we had to zigzag our way around each of the abutments. It took a long time but amounted to a fun day as we took our time and viewed the beautiful scenery. On the other side we visited with the caretaker who lives on the top of the dam with his family. They were interested in talking with us. On the other side an extremely steep set of stairs with no railing presented itself to us. We did get down with some help from Sam. At the bottom we looked into the generating plant on the way back on the other side of the dam.
