Money Issued by the Republic of China

The Bank of China in Tientsin issued this note on January 1931. The back proclaims "Bank of China Promises to Pay to the bearer on demand at its office here Five Yuan National Currency." They show Bank headquarters in Tientsin on the back of the note. A blank spot on the left back has a picture of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest that you can see holding it to the light. The front has a clearer picture of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest on the left. I'm not sure what the picture on the front right might be. Both the General Manager and Manager signed the note in English. The Thomas De La Rue & Coy. LTD. London printed the note. I quote the name verbatim.

This bill measures 6 1/2 by 3 1/4 inches. --- By comparison the US Dollar bill measures 6 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches
