Students of Paul and Bernice Noll

Class 4 Chengdu, Sichuan 1984

This is Class 4 at Chengdu, Sichuan in 1984. All of these students are Scientists for the Chinese National Academy of Sciences. They all have advanced degrees. "Boss" Yang is in the middle front. He is my boss and I gave him the English name of Boss. Tish Murray, a Canadian, in the front row taught this class. She was the wife of an Engineer and I borrowed her to teach, as she had no job. Later I found an American passing through Chengdu, John King and "Shanghaied" him to teach for us. Mrs. Mao is the second in command and is on the front left.
