50. School Children at PE Class

This is the basketball court in front of our apartment. In back of our apartment is an elementary school. These children are from that school and are taking their physical education exercises in the morning. The children always yell "Hallow" to us whenever they see us and are most friendly. The Chinese do not call the United States "America." The Chinese word for America is, Mei Guo (May Gwo). Mei Guo means Beautiful Country. The Chinese people are most friendly to all Americans in private and were always most kind and helpful to Bernice and me when we traveled by ourselves. We just needed to look bewildered and someone would come up to ask if we needed any help, which was often.
