65. Neolithic Villages

Over time, the Yang-shao villages grew in a healthy way. Over 400 such villages have been found in the Wei valley alone, and most of these were bigger that Banpo. The average size of these sites is around 45 acres, which is four times larger than Banpo. Some prehistoric sites are considerably larger than the nearby modern villages.
