66. Post Holes for Banpo Houses

The sign points out how the Banpomen set posts for their houses. First they dug the hole. They then put sand in the bottom. Nest they put stones or pottery shards in. Next they rounded off the bottom of the pole. Lastly they put the pole in and pounded packed clay around the pole. The last two pictures show the postholes after 6000 years. This was one of the few signs not in English.
