Here you see a view towards the Chosin Reservoir where the First Marine Division struggle against the surrounding Chinese Army. We hear the words on the radio telling of the problems. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Marines. We know how vital our communications are to them and agonize when the radios fail. Our equipment is quite old. Vacuum tube go flat. I often have to crank up and tune a new transmitter when the old one goes out and then repair the old one.
