The troops have been loaded aboard the troopship for the trip to Korea. No one knows exactly where we are going. We have no idea about the invasion at Inchon that is coming up. I traveled aboard troopships from the USA to Japan and then back home from Japan to the USA. Life aboard a troopship is not the greatest fun. When there are over 5,000 thousand men aboard a ship space is at a premium. Food is wholesome but simple. Because I drove one of our team's trucks, I traveled on a cargo ship from Japan to Korea, and also from Inchon to Wonson and then from Hungnam to Pusan. I rode on a Japanese ferry from Pusan, Korea back to Japan.
