The trail from Salem Relay was a rather long and arduous trek. The path was narrow, steep, and rocky. One misstep could result in serious injury. The village of Kumi, where the base camp was located, lies far beyond the reservoir below. A road extended from Kumi to the mountain bottom winding along the edge of the reservoir. The rest of the way was by foot.
