13. Landing Craft Discharge their Men

These lucky men get to wade ashore in the surf. This time no one fired at them. Do to ridiculous planning the Korean Soldiers had taken Wonson before the invasion arrived. Because of mines in the harbor the Marines sailed up and down the coast until the harbor could be cleared. Even Bob Hope got there before the Marines but not due to any fault of the Marines. My company landed before the Marines as well. We were detailed to ferry Marine officers into town in our trucks.
