Richmond Relay - 1969-70
43. UN Cemetery at Pusan
When I got back to my Company headquarters at Stonestown Compound my Company Commander told me that he had been told that I had done a good job. He said that my work made him proud and also made the Company look good to the Battalion Commander. He was going to put me in for an Army Commendation Medal for my work while on alert in the mobile microwave van and the organization of the radio refresher class. I never received the medal but I did get some nice official Letters of Appreciation from my commanding officers. At least it was some recognition of my work and a lot more than most of the guys got for their hard work. ⇦ Back to Page 42 Return to Page 6 On to Page 44 ⇨ |
