Richmond Relay - 1969-70
73. Our "Weapon's Carrier"
This type of driving was difficult and dangerous at best. This was especially so when the road was icy, inches deep in snow or slick with mud from monsoon rains. Most of the traveling occurred in the daylight hours because of the curfew and for safety reasons but I do recall making a few unauthorized and after dark trips to Taejon. Let's say these trips were for recreational purposes and no trip ticket exists so it never happened. Maybe some day I will be able to put together stories about the After Hours on an isolated radio site as they sure would be interesting if not embarrassing but not a topic to expand on at this time.
