Richmond Relay - 1969-70
78. On Coffee Break
I felt good that I was skilled enough to pass the practical driving test for
Richmond Site. Newcomers to the company went to a class to get their
international driving license as this was a requirement but I was proud to be a
"Richmond Roadrunner" because I earned it the hard way. It meant that I could do
more than operate the radios I had been trained on. Now I could also help
support our site and the site's mission by becoming a truck driver.
