5. Bird Feeder with Whole Wheat

This shows the second bird feeder we made. We fill this one with Whole Wheat. The Stellar Jays seem to prefer this food. It then allows the Juncos and other smaller, shyer birds to eat at the other feed stations. We use a high side on the edges so to minimize the spillage. However many birds seem to feed on the ground. Especially the Quail often bring a large herd of baby quail (20-30) to feed on the ground from the spilled seeds.
