Birds Likely to be Observed in Oregon
Location in Oregon
California Quail Lophortyx californicus. Common in mixed woodlands and in large city parks. Usually seen in flocks feeding on the ground. They seem to prefer to run rather than fly. We see them in our flowerbeds and running down the driveways. Flocks of baby chicks show up frequently. Mostly at least three adults and about 25-40 tiny chicks taking a free lunch at our feeder and on the ground. Look at Next Bird Back to Bird Directory Page 9Back to Thumbs Page 26 |
