Step 7, Prepare Vinegar Mix

While Bernice begins to peel the beets, Paul prepares the vinegar mix. Put all the spices and liquids in a pot and bring it to a boil while stirring. After it has boiled let it cool as you work on other steps. Because the beets will be packed cold the vinegar mix should not be boiling hot so it doesn't break the jars. Warm is fine.
