Boil Noodles Tender Chinese noodles come in long pieces. After putting them in the boiling water we pay attention to make sure they get pushed under the hot water after they soften up and bend. Then make sure they get separated and not clumped together. It will take perhaps 10-15 minutes to get the noodles cooked. We will use chopsticks to fish out a noodle to test.
