Chinese Bamboo Chopsticks

We purchased these chopsticks in China. Interesting because they each have individually carved lions with a ball in their mouth at the end, they costs us about a dollar for a set of 12. Chopsticks can be purchased cheaply in most Oriental food stores. Plastic chopsticks should be avoided, because they make it most difficult to pick up small items of food, especially for your novice chopstick users. We give our guest only chopsticks for dinner. We do make exceptions for very young children. When we have soup we announce jokingly that one of the chopsticks is hollow and can be sued for the soup. Some actually check and report theirs have no hole. After that we pass out the spoons.
