Measure Soft Shortening - 1

Paul remembers as a boy of 7 being told by his mother how to measure soft shortening. We want 1 cup of shortening so we put one cup of cold water in a 2-cup measuring dish. Then add enough shortening to raise the water level up to 2-cup line. Then you just pour out the water.
