Making Honey Butter 3. Warm Honey We warmed our honey because some of the honey had begun to crystalize. Do not use water hotter than is comfortable to the touch. Honey should not be put in water heated beyond about 90 degrees. You do not need to warm the honey if it is not crystalized.
