106. Family Moves to Hayward

In 1957 we moved from Berkeley California to Hayward California. We bought a tract home in a subdivision. Home was bought on the GI Bill for about $14,000. Interest was 2.25%. We had sold our home in Berkeley. This was a new home on bare land do we had lots of work to do on it. Here you see the front of the home with our brand new 1955 Chevy. It cost $2000. We had paid cash.
