44. Our Glass Coffee Table

We found this tree stump on the Oregon coast near Ona Beach State Park. In the original piece, the trunk had been much longer. to get it home we could only get it in the front seat so Bernice had to sit in the back seat going home. We sawed it down to its present shape and then bleached it again. Bernice designed the glass using a sheet of plywood and we had the glass cut from a half-inch plate glass. The Japanese glass float and net we discovered one day when we went deep sea fishing. The young family sits for a photo opportunity.
