9. Loren With his Friend Judy

The next door neighbor had a young daughter named Judy. She had some medical problem and couldn't leave the house. She had to not exert herself. I don't know exactly the nature of the problem. She loved to watch Loren and loved him to death. She took care of Loren when we attended school. In may aspects Loren became her legs. Here we see the back of our house. Dad had constructed a new room made out of building blocks. Dad welded the mold to make the building blocks. I helped by filing the edges of the mold smooth. We then mixed cement and cast our own blocks two at a time. When enough dried we began to set them in place. It fascinated me to watch and help in this project. I learned a lot.
