8. Loren at Two Years, Two Months

Here Loren sits in front of our home in Fontana. Dad has completed a great deal of the landscaping around the house. I learned how to plant trees and plants as Dad did the landscaping. Loren loved to play and explore things. He had an inquisitive nature and wanted to know about things. I enjoyed reading to him. Mom had encouraged me to read. She often brought books home for me to read. Once for Christmas she gave me a set of Perry Mason mystery books. I tried to share my love for reading with Loren.
