My Brother Loren Webster 7. Loren at Two Years World War II was at its height in those years and the Henry J. Kaiser Steel Mills played an important part of the war effort. The mill changed the small town of Fontana into a much bigger town. In those years Fontana had no High School and they bused us to Ontario to Chaffey Union High School. Developers built hundreds of houses in the town and we had moved into one of them. No freeways existed in those days and the area around town was wide open. We loved to explore the area. We sometimes took Loren with us when he got old enough. I remember my folks paid about $1,600 for the house. ⇦ Back to Page 6 On to Page 8 ⇨Return to Loren Choices - Page 1 |
