Paul Noll Growing Up 64. Four Boys in Fontana, California (Loren in Crawford's Basket) The family moved to Fontana in the 1940s. Mom had married again to Perry Webster who worked at the Kaiser steel Mill in Fontana. Loren was born there. We bought the house there in Fontana for about $1,400 dollars. Both Donald and Crawford worked setting irrigation water for some farmers. There was a department store in town that showed movies on Saturday afternoon. We went to the local Junior high School and then to Chaffey Union High School in Ontario. Sometimes we would ride to San Bernardino for fun. Donald is on the left. I'm in the middle and Crawford is on the right. Loren sits in Crawford's basket. ⇦ Back to Page 62 On to Page 65 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (105K) Return to Paul Growing Up - Page 9 |
