92. Loren in Dad's Pickup

Loren peers out of my Dad's pickup. Dad taught me how to drive in this pickup. It was a difficult job because this pickup did not have a synchromesh transmission. What that means is you "Have" to double clutch otherwise you will grind gears. It takes coordination to learn how to do that and learn to drive at the same time. I did get my license on the first attempt. Knowing how to double clutch came in very handy when I had to drive army trucks in Korea in 1950.
