Paul Noll Growing Up 96. Mark Keppel High School Senior at 16 This handsome young boy was a senior and about to graduate. I had always taken as many subjects as you were allowed. When I became a senior they told me I could graduate in midterm if I wanted to. Let's do it. I graduated in January and then took a trip to Seattle to see my grandfather in my 1936 Chevrolet in December 1949, in the worst winter there has ever been in the northwest. When I got back I went into the Army and reported to Fort Ord for Basic Training. After Fort Ord I drove my 1936 car to New Jersey to go The Signal School at Fort Monmouth. I went to school to learn Radio Repair for 8 hours a day for 12 months. In 1950 war began in Korea and off I went to operate radio stations for two years. ⇦ Back to Page 95 On to Page 97 ⇨Return to Paul Growing Up - Page 13 |
