Greyhound Bus circa 1940 - 11 James Alonzo Noll - Gig Harbor Farm
11. Greyhound Bus circa 1940

Beginning in 1936 my Grandfather would send my Mother 3 tickets on the Greyhound Bus from Los Angeles, California to Seatle, Washington. He would also send money for our food on the bus trip. In those days you gave the bus driver the money who would give us money for food when the bus stopped for meals. We loved the trip. The driver was charged with our safety and he would have us sit in the front seat to keep an eye on us. And that was great for us. Remember I was just 5 with we started and 5 year old kids see the world differently.
