James Alonzo Noll - Gig Harbor Farm
12. Grandfather's Gig Harbor Farm Here Grandma and Grandpa and the three boys pose on the front steps of the farm house out from the town of Gig Harbor. Back Row Emma Mae Noll, James A. Noll. Next row Paul, Donald and front Crawford. The farm had no electricity, or running water. On the left end of the porch, shown here, was the well with a hand pump. An outhouse sat some distance from the house. The house had two rooms. Heat and stove was wood burning. I never quite knew how the farm got started but Grampa loved it but Gramma loved the city life better. We spent most of the time on the farm which was fine for us. ⇦ Back to Page 11 On to Page 13 ⇨Hi-Res Pic (76K) Return to Grandpa Noll's Farm Page 2 |
