Every day was an adventure day on Grampa's farm. I am not sure how many acres was the farm. We would walk a long distance to get the mail at our rural post office box. A neighbor who lived about 1 half mile away had cows and Grampa would go there to get milk for us. He would bring it back in a pail daily. having no refrigeration we could keep milk long. This neighbor had a big mean bull in a very stout pen. They wouldn't allow us boys on their farm because they were afraid we would go into the bull pen. It would have taken six strong men to get me in that pen and a very fast boy to catch me.
